Join me for the day and come and make a Sofa Tote Bag.
Location: BA13 4BU – that is right on the Somerset/Wiltshire border. 20 minutes outside of Bath and 20 Mins away from Stonehenge.
You will start by choosing the leather and an explanation of what works best where – please note that the choice here is what ever sofa leather I have available at the time, remembering that we are waste dependent.
Pattern cutting comes next, then we head into the workshop where the sewing begins.
Fear not if you haven’t sewn in a while or if you’ve never used an Industrial machine as I will hold your hand through this and together we will find a way that works for you.
Criteria: You must have some sewing machine knowledge and be able to drive a manual vehicle. ( this will help with the clutch control on the machine )
I will get you to sew in your socks or bare foot so that you can feel the pedal – this allows you better control.
Bring your lunch and snacks with you and I will provide Tea and Coffee.
